Cristen Banks, APRN

Cristen started her career in healthcare at Bradley University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. She continued her education at OSF St. Francis College of Nursing where she obtained her Masters of Science Degree in Nursing with honors.

After graduating, Cristen worked in the postpartum and Level II nursery at Bromenn Healthcare in Bloomington, IL. She transferred to Proctor Hospital in Peoria, IL where she mastered her skills working in the operating room focusing on eye surgeries. Three of those years she was the lead RN for eyecare.

Cristen joined Illinois Retina & Eye Associates in 2021. She specializes in macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. Additionally, Cristen has received extensive training in the technique of eye injections and has performed more than 5,000 injections.
