Injections

Many of the new medications used to treat eye diseases such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, macular edema and vein blockages are given in the form of injections. Intravitreal injection is an injection into the vitreous, which is the jelly-like substance inside the eye. It is performed to place medicines into the back of the eye.
